error: while sending cold loader: no rabbit processor detected

All,

Every now and then I get the error 'while sending cold loader: no rabbit
processor detected' in DC8.01 when I try to compile or run my code on an
RCM3200 (stacked on an evaluation board). If I disconnect/connect the
programming cable, reset the processor or do a powercycle the error
sometimes disappears but I don't know why.

Can anyone advise me on how to avoid this situation?

Thanks,

Gerben.

It sounds like your programming cable connector is wearing out or not
securely attached. Not much happens to get that message, DC sends
triplets in cold boot mode to toggle the status pin which is hooked
to the PC DSR early in the process. You can turn off DSR verification
in the DC comm options, but the error may change to later a target
communication error if you still have a connector problem. -Brian
